Treasurer

The Treasurer keeps track of the assets and obligations of Kanata
Theatre, manages payments and receipts, and keeps required
financial records. Policy decisions, such as the decision to go
ahead with a major extension, or host the EODL festival, are made
by the Executive as a whole, but it is the Treasurer who determines
feasibility and predicts financial consequences, and advises the
executive accordingly.

You don’t have to be an accountant, to be treasurer. You do need
to be familiar with computers and spreadsheets, and basic
accounting practice. And you need to work at it. The job does
require a few hours a week on average, rather more at the busiest
times like year-end.
