Canada and Kanata’s most popular playwright is back. It is 1870 in the American midwest. The setting is a house of, well, “joy”. The four women who staff the establishment are joined by a seemingly naive, refined young woman who feels she can learn the profession, although at first blush she would appear to be totally unsuited to it. The new recruit shows surprising aptitude for her new occupation. The consequences are both funny and dramatic.
