• To receive play submissions from members and
patrons for
possible consideration.
• To choose a children’s Christmas/holiday play and director.
Director, Publicity
The Director, Publicity maintains Kanata Theatre’s
visibility
within the community.
Responsibilities include:
• To act as liaison with the media on behalf of Kanata Theatre.
• To write press releases and fax or e-mail to media.
• To approve design of posters/flyers for each show.
• To arrange for copying of posters/flyers and for distribution
of flyers to distribution people.
• To arrange for ads in media, advertising plays and the Annual
and General meetings.
• To take rehearsal pictures and write articles on plays for
media, mainly but not exclusive of the Kanata Kourier
Standard.
• To act as liaison with other Theatre interest Groups (i.e.
Ottawa Community Theatres) on a Publicity basis.
• To arrange for promotional material in the front windows of
RMP and occasionally in the
• playhouse foyer (i.e. small case, extra room in window)
• To remind producers if necessary that it is their
responsibility
to arrange pictures of cast and crew for FOH, and for
official
pictures of the play.
Director, Membership and Training
The Director, Membership and Training should strive: to
continually develop and enhance the KT membership skill set;
to encourage and enable more opportunities for the involvement
of new and inexperienced members; and, to increase the number
of our members that are actively involved in KT productions and
activities.
Responsibilities under Membership are:
• To install and maintain Access database of all current member
records.
• To publish the member list to all members annually
(frequency is optional).
