DIRECTOR’S NOTE

i hate writing Director’s notes. I don’t know why we are expected to do this. mean really, what makes me more special than any other member of the cast or crew that have worked to bring this story to you?

Kanata Theatre has several hundred volunteers, many of which have pitched in to make today’s production possible. Just look at the size of the crew list! It’s amazing. Whether it was the painters (Ccan you even read the titles on some of those books?), the make-up crew, the actors, the lighting and sound crew, the volunteers in the cloak room, the Box Office staff, they are but a fraction of the number of people involved.

So what makes me so darned special? Not much really. I simply chose a story that thought was fun (with catchy music), but they are the ones that have brought it to life. They created it all.

i can’t thank them enough, but perhaps with your help we can get close. When you have a chance, please let them know that you appreciate their efforts. I hope you enjoy today’s production, and here’s a little spoiler... some of today’s story really did happen!

And remember... by proclamation of Mayor Jim Watson and the City of Ottawa, Sunday December 29, 2013 has been declared
